 Our Mission

 
We aim to provide all students with a range of learning experiences which will develop skills, self-confidence and independence whilst encouraging a positive attitude towards their schooling.
 
We are proud of our high parent satisfaction rates, achieved through open and honest communication and a dedicated teaching unit who are committed to providing quality education.
 
We have expansive and diverse grounds that incorporate a main oval, grassed and asphalt playing areas, as well as sun protected environments.
 
Our school consists of 24 classrooms, specialist areas and a gymnasium for indoor sporting events.
 
We are the only school in Wodonga to operate a Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden.
 
Our school has a well-resourced Science and Technology Centre and all students have access to a networked computer system, including the internet and electronic whiteboards.
 
We conduct a range of child care services including before school, after school and vacation care in our fully equipped centre.
 
At Wodonga West Primary School we offer a range of activities to extend and enrich your child’s education.
 
Gifted pupils are offered the chance to participate in The Australian Schools Science, Maths and English competitions. Year 6 pupils also enter the Computer Studies competition. During the year we run special short term activities to encourage children with a special talent to succeed. An example of this is our mural outside the Art Studio. Our students have actively decorated our school grounds with murals and 3D projects.
 
Sporting achievements are promoted via our Active Schools program and students are coached to participate in district sporting events.
 
Performing and Visual Arts include actively participating in the Wodonga District Arts Festival.
